1. Who We Are

LITKTOOLS is a personal project providing data analysis tools for the Travian Kingdoms browser game. The site is operated by an individual developer and is not affiliated with Travian Games GmbH.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

Accounts are optional. If you register (via /register), we store your email address, a username, and a salted hash of your password — the plaintext password is never stored or transmitted in a recoverable form. Registration is unverified (we do not send email), there is no self-service password reset, and accounts exist to enable future personalized features; they gate no content today. You may end your session at any time by logging out. The map page offers filter controls (animal types, oasis bonuses) to help you browse the map; those selections are processed in your browser and never sent to our servers.

2.2 Automatically Collected Data

The site is served from a self-hosted server and fronted by Cloudflare. Like most websites, the server and Cloudflare may log standard request data — IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of visit. This data is used for operational purposes (security, stability, diagnostics) and is not linked to individual identities.

2.3 Cookies and Local Storage

If you login, we set an httpOnly session cookie (litktools_session) so the server can recognize your account. After repeated failed logins we may set a short-lived httpOnly lockout cookie (litktools_lockout) used only to show a countdown — it does not identify you across visits for advertising. We do not use tracking cookies for analytics.

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your map filter preferences (stored under the key tk_map_prefs). This stores only your UI choices, not personal information. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Cloudflare

The site is exposed to the public internet through Cloudflare (Tunnel and DNS). Cloudflare may process visitor traffic data as part of its network and security services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Advertising

We display advertisements via Adsterra (a banner slot and a floating social bar). Adsterra and its partners may use cookies and tracking technologies to serve ads and measure performance. Ad targeting and measurement are governed by the ad network's own policies, not ours.

3.3 Libraries and Fonts

Application code (including the PixiJS rendering engine) is bundled and served from our own origin. The interface uses system fonts; it does not load third-party web fonts. We do not load third-party analytics scripts.

4. How We Use Data

Any data collected is used solely to operate and improve the site — diagnosing errors, understanding traffic patterns, and keeping the service available. We do not sell, share, or otherwise monetize visitor data beyond displaying ads.

5. Your Rights

If you have an account, you may contact us (see Section 6) to ask about the email and username we hold for that account, or to request deletion. If you have concerns about logged request data, you can contact us the same way.

6. Contact

For privacy-related questions, email [email protected].

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
